ncurses not installing

Postby stermarc » Wed Aug 15, 2001 3:45 pm

I tried installing ncurses to then enable other apps and, although it goes through an install process and claims to be done, I wonder if it did anything. Here's what Terminal for the install looks like:

./install.sh

ncurses 5.0-990904 Installer by apex.

..... Installing the programs .....
./install.sh: command not found: make [6]

..... Installing the headers.....
./install.sh: command not found: make [9]

..... Installing the libraries .....
./install.sh: command not found: make [12]

..... Installing the terminfo data .....
./install.sh: command not found: make [15]

Done installing ncurses.

Does this look right?

You need Apple's Developer Tools to install ncurses.
In the future this may not be required.

That would make a good one for Compile Problems (w/ a not about the developer update from apple) want to add it to the list Apex? Or I'll do it. This place is great.

I have created a new ncurses package based installer for version 5.2. It should be much easier to work with, and you no longer need dev tools.
