windowmaker installed, won't run

Make sure you have <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">code:</font><HR><pre>exec /path/to/wmaker</pre>[/quote] in ~/.xinitrc.

I downloaded the WindowMaker package from this site, installed the package, ran wmaker.inst according to directions ...now, when I launch XDarwin, I get the background screen (after a while), but then XDarwin crashes without showing any windows or anything. I'm running XDarwin 1.0, from the XFree86 project.

Any help appreciated.

That worked. The terminal revealed that the dylib library was not found. I got the dlcompat package from osxgnu.org, installed it and now everything is fine. Thanks.
