I have tried installing BitchX manually, as root and as a regular account. None of those times have I been able to get it to work. This is on 10.1.

[qubert:~/Desktop/BitchX-1.0c18] milk% ./install.sh

BitchX 1.0c18 Installer by apex.

..... Installing the programs .....
mkdir: /usr/local/lib/bx: File exists
mkdir: /usr/local/lib/bx/help: File exists
mkdir: /usr/local/lib/bx/script: File exists
cp: /usr/bin/BitchX: Permission denied
cp: /usr/bin/scr-bx: Permission denied
cp: /usr/local/lib/bx/wserv: Permission denied

..... Installing the help files .....
cp: /usr/local/lib/bx/script/actplug.gmz: Permission denied
cp: /usr/local/lib/bx/script/query: Permission denied
cp: /usr/local/lib/bx/script/menu.bx: Permission denied

Repeat......

Done installing BitchX.

Addendum:
That was just portions of what I tried, in case you couldn't tell.
I have gotten BitchX to work in 10.0.X but I forgot how I did it back then, and I have since formatted my OS X partition. Thanks for the help!
