GNU gettext does not work with 10.1

I need GNU's gettext for another utility. Specifically, msgfmt needs to work and it complains about a missing shared library.

I tried compiling the source for gettext, but what the hack does one specify for "host" ? I tried "ppc" 'cause that is the output from the arch command, but it only got me so far.

Try replacing config.sub and config.guess with the ones from /usr/libexec/
