sshd running automatically during system startup?

Postby simonr » Wed Nov 21, 2001 9:03 pm

Hi!

I'm wondering about how I'll get sshd running automatically during startup. The only way I know would be to login as root and add sshd to the /etc/rc file, but that's not recommended by Apple.

With OpenSSH the sshd worked just by allowing remote login under System Preferences/Sharing advanced settings. Now when I click that checkbox the option goes gray (not available).

How do I BTW uninstall SSH?

there's a lot of stuff not recommended by apple. i'd go ahead and edit the rc file anyway, so long as you know what you're doing.
