XDarwin & Window Managers

Just curious, is it possible to use Aqua as a window manager for XDarwin instead of Windowmaker or Fvwm...etc.

No.

Simply because it is two very different technologies you're mentioning. You can get XDarwin to display windows as windows in Aqua, but you cannot use Aqua/Finder as a so-called X-Server (which is what XFree86/XDarwin is). Aqua renders macintosh windows using the Carbon and Cocoa specifications. XDarwin uses a UNIX protocol called X11 to specify who the windows look. Unlike Aqua & Finder, the X system can enable you to run applications on a foreign host, but see the X-Windows on your own computer.
