How do I uninstall mc?

Postby Allan » Sat Aug 18, 2001 1:06 am

Hello,

I installed Midnight Commander, but I've decided that I don't need it. Is there an easy way to uninstall it and make sure all the related files are removed? Is there a list/log of all the files and dir's ithe .pkg installed?

Thanks,

Allan

The best thing to do is not bother uninstalling it unless you have to. If you really need to I grabbed this from the pax

Be really careful with what you remove. Specifically, don't remove libraries unless you know nothing else uses them.

Basically I would just leave it. If you installed things afterwards that reference the same files and remove things manually you could really mess things up.

I've been offline for about 10 days so I created a package uninstaller, I will post it ASAP.
