ok I am totally new to installing unix ports in osx....can anyone give me a simple step by step procedure as to how I install ported appz in osx

I expected to have to use type some commands in the terminal...
ie....
make
make;install

Probably the best thing about these ports, how easy they are to install.

If they only where as easy to run/configure
