VIM without X11

Can you compile a VIM 6 that'll work without X11? I don't particularly want to have to install another windows system just to use VIM. Thanks. =)

i just downloaded the source [www.vim.org] and configured and compiled it myself without gtk and x11. compiles fine on its own if it doesn't have to go looking for those.

Ah, i misinterpreted the request - I was thinking of a graphical version without X11/WM. I'll make a version that works without X ASAP.
