glib-2.2.0 and pkg-config

hi,i've compiled pkg-config, infact, i see it in /usr/local/bin; but when i try compile glib-2.2.0

checking for pkg-config... no
configure: error: *** pkg-config not found. See http://www.freedesktop.org/software/pkgconfig/

anyone can help me?

correct you PATH environment variable, it does not include /usr/local/bin by default.

I double the need for an answer. Have EXACTLY the same problem.
