ok, so i successfully install and test the MacOS X port of XFree86 (v4.1.0) on my PowerBook G3/500 running MacOS X 10.0.4 this past Friday. i use it all day displaying all sorts of applications from my Sun Solaris boxes. it was flawless. great job on the port! now, it is monday morning. i go to use XFree86 again, it launches, i get the three windows inside the X environment i got on friday (2 xterms, and 1 login). however, when i put the cursor in any of the windows nothing happens when i type. it's like it doesn't read the keyboard while inside the X environment anymore. what the hell? please help.
i just launched XDarwin, got the full screen mode, selected "Restart" from the desktop menu, watched everything in twm redraw, and am still unable to type. i have also tried re-installing once already. odd, huh? any ideas? i really did like using X on my PowerBook... That's known problem on portables. See the <A HREF="http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=5853&group_id=18034" TARGET=_blank>XonX FAQ</A> or Fink's <A HREF="http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/x11/index.php" TARGET=_blank>X11 documentation</A> (the part you're looking for is <A HREF="http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/x11/trouble.php#keyboard" TARGET=_blank>here</A>)
