mc dont work

when i launch it by '/usr/local/bin/mc' , it makes a seg fault (and term window is slightly broken).
(i tried gmc but i havn't gnome libs)
i previously installed the 2 pkg's as required .

ps : is this a graphical or textual file mgr ?

midnight commander is a command line (textual) application. Can you give a more detailed description of the error you are getting? And you do have ncurses installed?
