Giml pkg does nothing

I ran the gimp installer package, but it doesn't appear to have done anything, if it installed anything, I can't find it. What the $%#@%$& am I doing wrong?

make sure you have X11 running, then type 'gimp' from a terminal.

I get a command not found error when I do that.

try /usr/local/bin/gimp
