macosx login problem

i need a program that will display a MACOSX password to log in without being able to actually log into the computer, as i've been effectively blocked and need to be able to use my computer!

The Mac OS X CD has a password reset utility.

I have the same problem, and I've already tried using the Mac os X cd to reset all my passwords - but it still doesn't work! I've never had to log on manually before, until yesterday.. I bet something weird happened - I can't even change my root password when I startup in single user.. It is strange!
