i've been using freebsd, linux, solaris, irix and various other flavors of unix for a long time now so i volunteered to help out my mac os x friends with some compiling problems.

i wanted to install wget-1.8 on 10.1, but it fails finding standard header files. the files are in /System/Library/Frameworks/System.framework/Versions/B/PrivateHeaders but if i put that path in the Makefile it throws all sorts of errors.

example:

/System/Library/Frameworks/System.framework/Versions/B/PrivateHeaders/sys/types.h:119: illegal external declaration, missing `;' after `_BSD_SIZE_T_'

i suspect i am going about this all wrong... please set me on the path of righteousness!

Id like to know what your initial errors are. I've had no trouble compiling wget 1.8.
