Ok, before even getting to sawfish, I first need to make and install librep (among others i haven't even gotten to yet). But for librep I went ahead and took care of its dependencies and tried to build librep only for it to fail because gdbm, which it depends on, built static libraries instead of shared ones. I have tried again and again to configure gdbm to build shared libraries but cannot get it to. So I have been stuck in this spot for a week now. Please, any help? Thanks
